MISSIONS & MINISTRIES

Our mission in life is to bring glory to God.   We nurture our faith through worship, prayer, fellowship, education, and outreach across all life spans.   We serve our community with care and compassion, engaging in both local and global missions and outreach.

PROJECT OUTREACH – FOOD PANTRY

We support our local food pantry serving the Royersford and Spring City communities with food and household items collected as part of our weekly offertory during worship.  Members of our congregation serve at the Food Pantry monthly for community distribution.

MISSION FIRST

Our supplemental food donations are shared with Mission First's Food House and Kitchen servicing the Pottstown community.

We held a winter coat drive to collect coats and delivered two dozen coats were the week of February 2nd.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY
WILDFIRE RELIEF

For the month of January, the cash jar in the back of the Sanctuary will be designated to the victims impacted by the severe devastation of the southern California wildfires in Los Angeles County.  All funds will be sent to the Conference office for forwarding to the appropriate channels to reach the

wildfire victims.

POTTSTOWN BEACON OF HOPE

Beacon of Hope provides year-round emergency shelter for Pottstown residents experiencing homelessness at the Warming Center.  In January, members of our mission team provided a meal of beef barbeque, rolls, mac -n-cheese, and brownies.

ECO PLASTIC PRODUCTS of DELAWARE (ECOP)

Plastic bottle caps and lids are collected to support Eco Plastic Products of Delaware, a non-profit organization. ECOP recycles eligible plastic items to make useful and sustainable consumer products with a mission to eliminate plastic waste. The consumer products are then donated to other non-profit organizations and can also be purchased by individuals, municipalities, companies, and organizations.

For our Lenten mission in March, we collected dry dog and cat food for the Animal House Project, located on Robinson Street in Pottstown.   Animal House Project is committed to addressing the needs of at-risk animals and their dedicated families  -

"At times, they are the last option for families to keep their companion pets at home."   They offer comprehensive support to vulnerable animals, including rescuing, adopting, and facilitating veterinary care and food access.

OPERATION 143

In August, we collected food items to support Operation 143's Student Weekend Backpack Program.  Operation 143 is a non-profit organization operating in Pottstown. The Student Weekend Backpack Program works with 6 partnering school districts to help homeless, and food insecure students succeed by addressing the issue of childhood hunger.
